It's a one-time payment with unlimited messages. Think of it as having a knowledgeable Chinese friend who helps you plan your entire trip.
Once you purchase, you'll be connected with a real Chinese service agent on WhatsApp. During your trip in China, you can message us anytime for real-time help: translating menus, getting directions, making phone calls on your behalf, and solving any language barrier you encounter. Our team uses AI translation tools to communicate with you in English while handling everything in Chinese on your end.
When you need to communicate with someone in Chinese by phone (like making a restaurant reservation, talking to a taxi driver, or calling a hotel front desk), our agent will make the call for you in Chinese and report back the result via WhatsApp. You never need to speak Chinese yourself.
We do not provide: in-person accompaniment or physical guide services; booking or payment for hotels, flights, tickets, or any third-party services (we advise, you book); legal, medical, or financial professional advice; services in languages other than English (more languages coming soon). We are your communication bridge and local knowledge source, not a travel agency.
We don't make bookings or payments on your behalf, but we'll walk you through exactly how to do it yourself: which app to use, which buttons to click, and what to look out for. If you run into any issues during the process, we're right here to help.

Service Hours & Response

Our team is available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Beijing Time (GMT+8), 7 days a week. Messages sent outside service hours will be answered first thing the next morning. For Trip Planning Buddy users, since planning conversations are not urgent, we typically respond within a few hours during service hours.
During service hours: On-Trip Assistant users receive responses typically within 3-5 minutes. Trip Planning Buddy users receive responses typically within 1-2 hours (since planning conversations allow more time). Outside service hours: messages will be answered the next morning.
For true emergencies in China (medical, safety), please call 120 (ambulance) or 110 (police). These numbers work even without a Chinese phone plan. Our service is not an emergency service. We'll follow up as soon as we're back online.

Payment & Refund

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and some local payment methods through our payment provider Stripe. All payments are processed securely. We never see or store your card details.
Absolutely! Many of our users start with the $19.99 Planning Buddy and upgrade to the On-Trip Assistant when their trip date approaches. Just let us know on WhatsApp and we'll send you the upgrade payment link.
Trip Planning Buddy ($19.99): Full refund if you haven't started any conversation with us yet. Once our team has responded to your first message, the service is considered delivered and is non-refundable. But at $19.99, we think you'll find it well worth it. On-Trip Assistant ($25.99/day or $139.99/7-day pack): If you're not satisfied within the first 24 hours, we offer a full refund, no questions asked. After 24 hours, unused full days in your 7-day pack can be refunded (used days are charged at the daily rate of $25.99). To request a refund, simply message us on WhatsApp.
Just send us a message on WhatsApp saying you'd like a refund. We'll process it within 24 hours. Refunds typically appear on your card statement within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.

No! You only need WhatsApp, which you probably already have on your phone. No other app to download, no account to create, no registration form to fill out. Just pay and start chatting.
Currently we support English only. Our Chinese team members use professional AI translation tools to communicate with you in fluent English. We're planning to add more languages (French, German, Spanish) in the future.
Yes. We only collect the minimum information needed to provide our service (your WhatsApp number and payment info). Payment is handled securely by Stripe. We never see your card details. We don't store conversation logs after your service period ends. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You'll be connected to our service team rather than a single dedicated person. This means you get faster responses because multiple team members can assist you. Don't worry, our team shares context internally so you never have to repeat yourself.
Honestly? No, and we think that's important to say upfront. We're a small team of real Chinese locals who will try our hardest to help you, and most of the time, we can. But sometimes a restaurant is fully booked, a train is sold out, or a situation is beyond what we can fix over WhatsApp. What we can promise is that we'll always try, always be honest, and always treat you like a friend.
